Northwestern Cancer Survivors' Celebration Walk & 5K

On Saturday, June 7, Carrying Hope had the incredible opportunity to sponsor the annual Northwestern Cancer Survivors’ Celebration Walk & 5K in Grant Park, one of Chicago’s largest events honoring cancer survivors and their families.

As the event’s top bag donor, Carrying Hope provided more than 3,500 bags to participants and an additional 150 tote bags to members of the Stars Club, for individuals who raised more than $500 in support of the event.

The event held special significance for Carrying Hope founder Naomi Herman, who has participated in the walk alongside her mother for years following her mother's cancer journey. This year, standing in Grant Park and seeing thousands of Carrying Hope bags distributed throughout the event was a full-circle moment for the Herman family.

The event was made possible in part through the generous support of Waterloo Sparkling Water, which sponsored the bags, and StyleEsteem, which partnered with Carrying Hope by providing special coupons to include in each tote bag.

Carrying Hope is honored to have been part of such a meaningful event and looks forward to continuing its mission of providing comfort and encouragement to individuals affected by cancer.
