On Thursday, April 30, Carrying Hope hosted an ice cream fundraiser during both lunch blocks at the Latin School of Chicago. Carrying Hope was able to sell over 100 cups of ice cream to Latin students and faculty, raising $424 which will go towards making more tote bags for chemo patients.

“I think scooping ice cream was a great idea because it helped bring everyone together and everyone loves a good sweet treat,” Latin sophomore Lola Hoke said. “It helped raise money for a really important cause, and it just made me feel great being able to be a part of that.”

Carrying Hope continues to find creative ways of raising money to support their mission of providing comfort and encouragement for chemo patients.
